THE CLEO SERIES

"I did not mean to fall out of the sky. I would like that on the record." Cleo is not your average cat. She is rare, long-haired, and orange enough to be mistaken for a small house fire. When her ship crash-lands in the English countryside, she has one job: find her "purrfect" human. What she finds instead is Hurley Jenkins, a lonely widowed farmer who has firmly decided he doesn't need a cat. Cleo disagrees. Loudly, silently, and with tremendous sarcasm. Along the way, she meets a fiercely curious village girl convinced she's found a real alien, a dry-witted stray cat who knows everyone's business, and a farmhouse slowly remembering how to be a home. A warm, funny, quietly moving story about grief, belonging, and the particular genius cats have for showing up exactly when you need them. Why you'll love it Narrated by Cleo herself, a vain, sarcastic, secretly soft-hearted orange cat. Cozy village setting with a found-family heart. Light on length and big on charm: An easy, feel-good read for kids 10+ and adults. Perfect for fans of The Dalai Lama's Cat and anyone who suspects their cat knows more than it's letting on.
